Summary[]
In this second chapter, Ko wakes up in the morning from a dream about he and Shin playing together. He's in his mansion, waking up to find that Shin went out to run some errands. He turns on the lights (candles) in the house and grabs some breakfast, which happens to be Shins blood. Ko then comes across a young boy by the name of Kento who somehow stumbled across the brothers' mansion deep in the hills. Kento claims that he is Ko's guest and he refuses to leave, causing for Ko and Kento to dive headfirst into a whole compilation of shenanigans around the mansion. After Kento falls asleep from running out of energy and Ko sits down to take a breather, they are suddenly attacked by a group of Vampiric Beasts called Eyewings. Ko ends up easily killing them and crystallizing them, but then the Mother Eyewing shows up along with a second one. Just as things seem to be troubling and Ko is about to give up, Shin appears and kills the two Mother Eyewings with just the flick of his hand. Immediately after this issue is resolved, Kento wakes up from his short-lived nap. Shin and Ko return Kento to his mother as the mother and son walk away and head home. Shin and Ko begin to walk home themselves, and then Ko brings up the fact how he regrets how he couldn't even defeat the Vampiric Beats he was facing off with, how he couldn't be strong like Shin. Shin then gets down on one knee and pats Ko on the head, reassuring him that he did a wonderful job dealing with both Kento and the Vampiric Beasts all by himself. Shin then introduces Ko to a forktail kitten, Ko's new pet that he ends up naming Saburo. It then shows a panel of Shin finally being able to read his book in peace while Ko and Saburo are playing in the background and the chapter closes.
